A contemporary wellness destination where architecture, landscape and hospitality come together to shape an immersive guest experience rooted in the tropical character of Koh Phangan.

Development of the complete retreat masterplan, coordinating guest accommodation, arrival, yoga and wellness facilities, swimming pools, dining, communal spaces, circulation and landscape to create a coherent hospitality experience across the site.
Architectural design of the guest suites, reception, yoga pavilions and principal hospitality buildings, using contemporary tropical forms, generous roof structures and climate-responsive planning to establish a distinctive identity appropriate to Koh Phangan.
Complete development of the interior environments, including spatial planning, architectural detailing, material palettes, bespoke elements and overall design direction across guest accommodation, wellness and communal hospitality spaces.
Integration of tropical planting, gardens, courtyards, pathways and pool environments throughout the masterplan, using landscape to guide movement, establish privacy and create a continuous relationship between buildings and their natural setting.
Planning of the guest experience and relationships between accommodation, yoga, treatment, relaxation, dining and communal facilities, ensuring the retreat functions effectively as both a wellness destination and an integrated hospitality operation.
Architectural, decorative and landscape lighting developed to support the different atmospheres of the retreat, from guest accommodation and wellness spaces to pathways, gardens, pools and evening social areas.
Selection and specification of furniture, decorative lighting, fabrics, rugs and accessories throughout the retreat, combining natural materials, bespoke elements and carefully curated pieces to establish a cohesive hospitality identity.
Detailed drawings, specifications, 3D references and coordinated SketchUp models developed to communicate the architecture, interiors and design intent clearly to consultants, contractors, suppliers and specialist teams.

Set within the tropical landscape of Koh Phangan, One Yoga Retreat was conceived as a complete hospitality destination centred on wellbeing, movement and human connection. Rather than approaching the project as a collection of individual buildings, the architecture, landscape and guest experience were developed together as one integrated environment.
The masterplan creates a gradual journey through the retreat, beginning with a distinctive arrival experience and continuing through shaded pathways, tropical gardens and landscaped courtyards towards guest accommodation and communal spaces. Buildings are carefully positioned within the landscape to balance privacy, views and natural movement while creating moments of discovery throughout the property.
Contemporary tropical guest suites provide private retreats within the wider resort, while yoga pavilions, wellness facilities, swimming pools, dining and social spaces form a series of shared destinations. Generous roof forms, shaded circulation and naturally ventilated spaces respond directly to the climate, encouraging guests to move easily between architecture and landscape throughout the day.
Natural timber, stone, textured plaster and handcrafted details establish a warm architectural language rooted in Koh Phangan rather than conventional resort styling. Combined with lush tropical planting, water and carefully integrated interiors, the result is a design intended to feel distinctive to its island setting while providing the quality and coherence expected of an international wellness destination.
The masterplan is organised as a sequence of experiences rather than simply a collection of buildings. Arrival, accommodation, wellness and communal areas unfold gradually through shaded pathways, gardens and courtyards, allowing movement through the retreat to become an integral part of the guest experience.
Wellbeing is embedded within the planning and architecture through natural light, ventilation, landscape, water and carefully considered spatial relationships. Yoga, treatment and relaxation spaces are positioned to provide privacy and connection to nature while remaining integrated with the wider life of the retreat.
Guest suites provide individual spaces for retreat while pools, dining, yoga pavilions and social areas encourage interaction and shared experience. The masterplan carefully balances these two conditions, allowing guests to move naturally between privacy, activity and community throughout their stay.
Deep roof overhangs, naturally ventilated spaces, shaded circulation and generous openings respond directly to Koh Phangan's tropical climate. Architecture and landscape work together to create comfortable environments while reducing dependence on enclosed, mechanically conditioned spaces wherever appropriate.
Tropical planting is used to organise movement, create privacy, frame views and soften the transition between individual buildings. Gardens, courtyards and water become part of the architecture itself, creating an environment that will develop greater depth and character as the landscape matures.
Natural timber, limestone, handcrafted stone, textured plaster and woven materials establish a restrained contemporary palette inspired by the island environment. Materials are selected for their tactile character, suitability for the tropical climate and ability to age naturally rather than relying on overt decorative themes.
